out room was ready when we arrived and it was spotless and the bathroom was well equiped. The reception staff were very friendly and check was very smooth. The staff pointed out the free coffee/hot drinks station that was available all day. They asked us about upper or lower rooms and we got our choice. We headed to the restaurant for something to eat and food and staff were excellent. Plenty of coffee and the atmosphere was so relaxing - looking out on the pool and the lovely bird cages. We had breakfast there on both mornings of our visit and visited the bar on both evenings before leaving for dinner downtown and the following night prior to visiting friends. The pool area though small looked inviting but unfortunately didnt have the time to use it.

The hotel is in a nice residential area - very pleasant location for a walk and close to downtown areas (by car or bicycle). at first hand a but disappointing was that they did not have our request for a special room close to the pool on file (we were traveling with our 5 year old) - despite a stay for four days. on the second day we were however given a family suite which was nice. also very nice is the cafe / restaurant on the premises that has good quality breakfasts in a nice environment. (we only had breakfast there) Altogether a very good option for Santa Barbara. Hotel itself has a good vibe - feels more upscale than the usual Best Western.

The hotel was really pretty and well maintained outside. There was some fantastic facilities on site, the pool, jacuzzi, tea and coffee making facilties and a really good restaurant, with a sun room, pool view. It felt very much like a resort. My favourite aspect of the hotel was the outdoor garden seating outside our room, that a double doors led out to. Our stay was really peaceful and family orientated. The location was around 10 minutes away from most places, including the beach, a car would be necessary. There was lots of car spaces. One of our bedrooms was newly refurbished. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable overall.

Was given a spacious room on the ground floor. Because I had not stated I needed a ground floor room upon booking, the staff had to scramble to accomodate me. I had to move to a different room after a couple of days but was given a whole apartment! Kudos to the front desk staff for accomodating me. While the hotel does not have its own restaurant, the Live Oak café is a lovely place for breakfast or simple dinners. I had avocado toast every day in its lovely garden room. I also enjoyed its aviary of finches, which I am told, is a local landmark.

WE liked everything!! Coffee in the room was plentiful and a full-size Keurig was so appreciated. The staff were all so nice and helpful. We stay in a lot of places, and they were above and beyond, even wore masks. They upgraded us to a hacienda so we could have a king size bed. It was very comfortable. I really appreciated two bathrooms. The weather was terrible one day and we were happy relaxing in the room and watching movies.
